Teaching at Shrewsbury House School Trust offers the opportunity to shape children’s futures within a warm, purposeful and highly aspirational environment. Across both Shrewsbury House School and The Rowans, our teachers prepare children not only for their next schools but for life beyond the classroom.

Shrewsbury House School has an exceptional record of preparing boys for many of the country’s most prestigious senior schools. The Rowans prepares children for the next stage of their educational journey, with many moving on to Shrewsbury House School. Families also secure places at a range of other leading prep schools across the area, reflecting the strong foundations established during their time at The Rowans.

Across Shrewsbury House School Trust, we recruit committed professionals and subject specialists with a breadth of experience. Extensive CPD opportunities are available and staff are encouraged to pursue courses that support their growth. Mentoring and coaching play a central role within the Trust and there are regular opportunities to collaborate and socialise with colleagues across both schools.

Teaching within the Trust is about empowering children, nurturing confidence and creating a culture where everybody is somebody. We welcome academically gifted children and all-rounders alike, ensuring each child is supported to thrive.

We are committed to providing the very highest standard of teaching and pastoral care. Our dedicated staff are incredibly generous with their time, taking great care to ensure every child feels settled, supported and happy at school.
