School Council were proud to lead the Great British Bark Off after several weeks of careful planning. In Year 2 the children have been learning a ‘plan, do, review’ approach to taking ownership of activities and that is exactly what School Council did for this week. First they had several meetings to ‘plan’ the event and how to launch it to you, their parents, and the children and staff. Then came the ‘do’ stage as the school carried out the various activities. School Council set the target of raising £150 for the charity Underdog with the ‘Pound for Puppies’ colouring activity and the dog treat sale today. In their ‘review’ the event they found that they had in fact raised double that with a grand total of just over £300 donated to Underdog. Well done to School Council and thank you to our school community for their support of such a worthy cause.
