‘Cracking’ News!

There was great egg-citement on Monday as we received a very special delivery of ten eggs in an incubator, followed by further delight on Wednesday as one by one they began to hatch. We are now playing hosts to ten fluffy chicks!

English Workshop

It was wonderful to welcome our Year One parents to the English Workshop on Tuesday evening as the staff shared tips and techniques to support with reading, comprehension and story writing. Thank you to all those who supported the event and we hope you found it both interesting and informative.

Charity Toy Swap Sale

School Council were delighted that so many children gave their old toys for their Toy Swap Sale. They raised an incredible £755.58 which will be donated to St George’s Hospital Charity and WaterAid.

‘Bubbly’ STEM Days

On Friday each year group enjoyed an exciting and creative workshop with ‘Bubbly Maths’ where they used modelling balloons to learn about 2D and 3D shapes as well as measuring, before going on to create bubbles of all shapes and sizes. World Book Day

It was such a delight to see the children dressed up for our annual World Book Day celebrations on Thursday! They had a memorable day of House activities, story time from visiting Year 8 Shrewsbury House boys and of course their workshops with author and illustrator Paul Geraghty.

Class Concerts

The school has been filled with Music this week as the children have been showcasing their talents, during their music lessons, in the Class Concerts. It is wonderful to see the range of instruments being studied from piano and violin, to cello and electric guitar. We look forward to our Spring Concert later this term.
