Music is such an essential part of our curriculum and we are very pleased to continue our rich provision whilst adhering to Government guidelines. Children who learn an instrument, either in school or at home, are  invited to  perform to their class during assembly. We started the term with a confident performance from Leo in Year 1.

Welcome Back

What a pleasure it has been to  welcome everyone back to school this week! After weeks of planning and preparation, it brings us all such joy to hear the classrooms filled with chatter and laughter again. Thank you for following all our additional measures which we have implemented to keep our school community safe during this period.

The Rowans Summer Music Concert

The online Summer Music Concert showcased the talented young musicians we have at The Rowans. We hope you enjoyed it as much as the children in school did and that the children will be inspired to keep practising or to take up an instrument in September.

Cake Baking for Local Care Home

Lily in Year 2 has baked cakes for the residents of her local Care Home and safely delivered these to very happy recipients. What a thoughtful gesture!

Year 1 Sketching of The Great Fire of London

In Year 1 this week, the children have written some fantastic non chronological  reports as well as sketching detailed pictures of Tudor buildings linked to their topic of The Great Fire of London.

Return to School

On Wednesday, we were delighted to open the doors again for children in KG, Reception and Year 1. How much they have grown since we have last seen them in person! Fundraising Challenge

In Year 1, Gabriel and his brother have  committed to take on challenges to raise money for the Trussel Trust, which supports food banks through the UK including the one in Wimbledon. From sports to baking, learning new languages and juggling, they are acquiring new skills whilst raising money– well done boys!
