Cracking new arrivals!

The children have been thrilled with the arrival of ‘the eggs’ this week which swiftly hatched into fluffy little chicks. The children were able to watch this process, visiting in person as well as by video link so that each class can benefit from watching the chicks hatch out.

Engineering and Design Week

Engineering and Design projects have been the theme of the week and the children have shown  excellent collaborative skills as they designed, constructed and tested their marble runs. We have been immensely impressed with their creativity and ingenuity as well as their persistence when they found an idea did not work out as expected!

RNLI Assembly

We welcomed RNLI into assembly and the children learnt about their work in saving lives at sea. They benefitted from guidance on how to stay safe around water and how to help others if they are in danger.

Year 2 visit to The Globe Theatre

Year 2 enjoyed a fascinating visit to The Globe Theatre today. Building on their class work on Shakespeare and his writing, they took part in a lively workshop and will no doubt be full of ideas for their own play later in the term.

Celebration Assembly

On Friday shared their achievements from their activities outside school. With Music, LAMDA, dance, skiing, swimming, chess, football, gymnastics, tennis and more represented, they certainly are busy children!

Guide Dog Visit

The House Poetry Competition

We enjoyed many excellent performances in the House Poetry Competition. The children had put a lot of effort in to choosing and learning their poems based on the theme of ‘animals’. They were judged on their familiarity with the poem, their use of expression and having a clear, confident voice.
