Shadow Puppets!

Both Years 1 and 2 have been learning about aspects of the theatre this week. As you can see, Year 2 were making Shadow Puppets which formed part of their Science learning about light and dark.

Mrs Hubbard’s visit!

On Tuesday Mrs Hubbard made one of her regular visits to see the children happily engaged in their learning. The children were all so keen to show her what they were learning about and it was lovely to see their confidence in sharing this.

Governors visit

This morning we were delighted to welcome some of our Governors back to visit. As we went round all the classes, again it was clear to see how much the children enjoyed speaking to visitors to their lessons and how keen they were to show all they are learning.

Artsmark Award

We are proud and delighted to share that we have received a Silver Artsmark Award, accredited by Arts Council England. This prestigious award recognises schools for their exceptional commitment to creativity and is the only award for arts and culture provision in England.

Reception Battersea Zoo outing

Reception visited Battersea Children’s Zoo where they took part many activities to enhance their knowledge about ‘creatures great and small’. The children were lucky to spot a huge variety of animals and many said that the highlight was spotting the emus called Ant and Dec!

Year 1 English Workshop

It was wonderful to welcome our Year One parents to their English Workshop as the staff shared tips and techniques to support with reading, comprehension and story writing. Thank you to all those who supported the event and we hope you found it both interesting and informative
